Are you looking to quickly and affordably improve your dead lawn’s curb appeal?

No problem, because we can paint your dead grass green with 100% non-toxic paint.

The Green Yard Pros was started by two young men who were looking to offer a low cost solution to the water crises during the historic California drought of 2015.

Over the years, our company has gained tons of experience working with home owners, realtors, real estate stagers, and just about anyone else who could benefit from a good paint job.

Heck, we have even painted a tree before.

We don’t mess around when it comes to customer service, so we are glad to paint pretty much anything you want and at any time.

Who Can Benefit From Lawn Painting?

Getting your grass painted does a lot more than improve the look of your lawn. Having a green lawn can also seriously increase your property value.

Which is why many of our customers hire us when they are planning on selling their house.

To them, it’s a no-brainer to spend $400 to get their grass painted because they know that having a green lawn is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to increase their property value.

I mean just think about it for a second…

Let’s conservatively say that having a green lawn increases the property value of your home by only 1%.

If your house is valued at a million dollars, then that translates to a $10,000 increase in property value and an absolutely insane 25,000% return on investment.

Now let’s compare that to what would happen if you hire a professional landscaping company to revamp your dead lawn before you sell your house instead. That could easily cost you thousands of dollars, and therefore result in a much lower return on investment when compared to lawn painting.

So if you plan on selling your home anytime soon, getting your lawn painted is an absolute no-brainer.

Just give us a call and we’ll increase your property value within hours!

The Type of Grass Spray Paint We Use

We use a specialized green spray paint for grass that is 100% non-toxic, and safe for both plants and animals to come into contact with. It is the same paint that is used by golf courses to paint their grass green. Some of our favorite lawn paint brands include: Enviro Color and Lawn Star.

How Long Does Lawn Spray Painting Usually Take?

An average lawn that has already been mowed and prepped typically takes us about 1-2 hours to paint.

If the lawn is large or needs mowing/prep work, it can take longer.

How Long Does Grass Paint Last?

Lawn paint typically lasts about 6-8 months depending on how fast your lawn grows.

How Long Does the Paint Take to Dry?

While the paint usually drys within an hour, we recommend that you wait about 12 hours before walking on your lawn or watering it.

Can You Just Paint the Brown Spots Instead of the Whole Lawn?

We usually recommend painting the whole lawn to make it look more even, but we are happy to match the current color of your lawn if you want us to only paint the brown spots.

How Does the Green Lawn Dying Process Work?

We will try to spare you the boring details, but here is an overview of how we paint lawns green:

Step 1: Prep the Lawn

We will lay down tape and tarps to prevent any paint from getting onto your hardscaping. If the lawn has not been mowed or cleaned of debris, we will handle that at this stage in the process.

Step 2: Load up on Paint

We will measure out the proper paint to water ratio to get the lawn to your preferred shade of green. If you don’t have a color preference, we are glad to recommend one.

Step 3: We Will Paint the Borders

We start by carefully applying grass spray paint to the borders of your lawn with the added protection of a cardboard or wood border wall that is held up by a technician.

Step 4: Fill in the Rest of the Grass

Once the borders are completed, we will fill in the rest of your grass from one side of your lawn to the other side. We do this so that we avoid stepping on the already painted grass while it is still wet.

Step 5: Touch-ups

We will analyze your grass for any areas that could use an extra touch up and paint it accordingly.

Step 6: Customer Approval

If you are on the property, we will ask you to come out for a second to give your feedback on the new paint job. If you need us to make any changes, that is no problem! We will work until you are satisfied with the end result. If you are not on the property, we can do this process by texting you pictures of the lawn.

What Else Can You Paint?

While most of our customers ask us to paint their dead grass green, we can paint pretty much anything any color you’d like, as long as the proper paint is available. One example of a use case for our services would be painting markers on a sports field with white grass paint.

What Is the Cost of Hiring a Lawn Painting Company?

Our average pricing for painting a typical lawn is about $400, but the cost can vary based on the following main factors:

– How many square feet needs to get painted. We typically charge about 60 cents per square foot for smaller lawns, but we offer bulk discounts for larger lawns.
– If the lawn is mowed and cleaned of debris. If it’s not, it will cost an additional $100 or so for us to do that for you.
– How far we need to travel. If your property is relatively close to us (in the south bay), we can offer you a small discount.
– The design of your lawn. Lawns that have a circular shape for example are more difficult for us to paint because it’s harder to protect the edges from getting painted.
